Walk It Off with the Y Join the Fun This Summer at Alton Baker Park! Get ready for sunshine, smiles, and movement! The Eugene Family YMCA invites you to be part of Walk It Off with the Y—a joyful summer tradition that brings our community together for connection, activity, and healthy fun. Every Wednesday, Alton Baker Park comes alive with guided and self-paced strolls and rolls, weekly prize raffles, upbeat music, and family-friendly activities. We’re looking for volunteers to help make the magic happen! Tasks include (but are not limited to) setting up the event, welcoming and checking in participants, sharing info, coordinating raffles, guiding group strolls through the park, and helping with clean-up. Whether you love chatting with people, being outdoors, or keeping things organized, there’s a spot for you on our volunteer team. Come be a part of the fun—and help our community move together this summer!

Help create a welcoming space where connection and community can thrive! We’re looking for volunteers to assist with room setup and cleanup for our Promoting CommUNITY events in the Kalapuya Community Room. This role plays an important part in bringing each event to life. Volunteers help prepare the space before guests arrive and ensure everything is left in great shape afterward. Tasks may include arranging tables and chairs (as directed), tidying and preparing the room, setting out food and beverages, organizing supplies and handouts, and assisting with post-event cleanup. It’s a fun, hands-on way to support meaningful community programming — and you’ll get to be part of the energy and excitement of each event while making a real difference behind the scenes.
