Join us for the 5th Annual Welcoming Festival at the Y where we celebrate community, culture, and connection. The Welcoming Festival is part of the Y’s broader participation in Welcoming Week (September 13–22), a national movement led by Welcoming America. Welcoming Week elevates the growing movement of communities that fully embrace all community members and their contributions to the social fabric of our country, with a focus on: - Celebrating the diversity of our community - Bringing together newcomers and long-standing residents to build mutual understanding - Standing in solidarity with all communities to ensure everyone feels valued and included - Moving beyond divisiveness and fragmentation Event Details: 📅 Date: Sunday, September 13, 2026 ⏰ Time: 2–5 p.m. 📍 Location: Eugene Family YMCA, 600 E 24th Ave, Eugene 💲 Cost: Free & open to everyone Volunteers are needed between the hours of 10:30am - 6:30pm for various roles and shifts You can sign up for as many shifts as you like.

Our Y Concierges play an important part in serving our community. They help our members and guests feel welcomed and included by greeting them with a warm smile, keeping our coffee and tea service stocked, keeping the lobby clean and organized, helping answer questions, engaging members in conversations, providing facility tours, and helping the Welcome Center staff serve the needs of our community.
