Halloween Trunk or Treat Block Party Join us for the Y's 5th Annual Halloween Trunk or Treat Block Party, a fun-filled evening of community, costumes, treats, and Halloween excitement for all ages! Event Details: 📅 Date: Saturday, October 31, 2026 ⏰ Time: 5–8 p.m. 📍 Location: Eugene Family YMCA, 600 E. 24th Ave., Eugene 💲 Cost: Free and open to everyone Costumes are highly encouraged, and no registration is required. Event Highlights: Trunk-or-Treating with festively decorated vehicles Food trucks and carts serving dinner, snacks, and sweet treats (4–8 p.m.) A Haunted Silent Disco in the Gymnasium featuring music, lights, and Halloween décor Costume contests throughout the evening Pumpkin Decorating Contest Family-friendly activities, games, and more For the safety of all participants, children participating in Trunk-or-Treat activities must be accompanied by a parent, guardian, or responsible adult. Volunteer Information: Volunteers are needed between 3:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. for a variety of event roles, including setup, activity support, trunk-or-treat operations, and cleanup. You can sign up for as many shifts as you like.

Help create a welcoming space where connection and community can thrive! We’re looking for volunteers to assist with room setup and cleanup for our Promoting CommUNITY events in the Kalapuya Community Room. This role plays an important part in bringing each event to life. Volunteers help prepare the space before guests arrive and ensure everything is left in great shape afterward. Tasks may include arranging tables and chairs (as directed), tidying and preparing the room, setting out food and beverages, organizing supplies and handouts, and assisting with post-event cleanup. It’s a fun, hands-on way to support meaningful community programming — and you’ll get to be part of the energy and excitement of each event while making a real difference behind the scenes.

Our Y Concierges play an important part in serving our community. They help our members and guests feel welcomed and included by greeting them with a warm smile, keeping our coffee and tea service stocked, keeping the lobby clean and organized, helping answer questions, engaging members in conversations, providing facility tours, and helping the Welcome Center staff serve the needs of our community.
